One such place that fills your heart with ecstasy is Bhrigu lake trek, named after ‘Maharishi Bhrigu’.

Location

It is one of the most famous treks of India, situated at an altitude of 14,200 ft in Himachal Pradesh near Manali (the ideal pickup point). It is a beautiful lake surrounded by forest and snow-covered peaks.

Lake during the seasons:

  • Summer Season: Trek to Bhrigu Lake is quite comfortable with only one day at a high altitude making it suitable for family trips. It can be planned between April and June as this is the best time to visit to avoid bad weather conditions. The temperature ranges from 20 degrees Celsius during dawn to around 10 degrees Celsius at dusk.

  • Rainy Season: Trekking in the rainy season may lead to landslides and slippery trails generating a risky expedition.

  • Winter Season: The lake remains frozen for six months during the winter season and transforms into a spectacular scene with snow-clad peaks surrounding it.
